ToneRune is fully free without ads.

Why

I'm rizan from the mountains in Nepal and I've been playing guitar (and some instruments) for over a decade.

Most guitar resources are buried in ads and want you to get their shiny courses/apps before you can play anything.

I've loved the philosophy of MusicTheory.net for ages. Communities on Reddit, Quora and YouTube creators have also influenced me tremendously. In a way, ToneRune feels meaningful to me, as I'm giving back to the very community that has always helped me.

When you're learning, you want to hear how things sound. You don't care about theory you can't use. A free site, clean diagrams, zero ads, zero distractions. that's ToneRune.

How I keep it free

ToneRune is reader-supported. The site earns through digital products (cheatsheets, bundles) and affiliate links on some posts.

The digital products are free/ pay-what-you-want. When I recommend something, it's because I use it or genuinely think is good. You'll know when a link is affiliate.

I build and maintain the site in my free time.
