About Rizan Bhandari

I'm Rizan from the mountains in Nepal and I've been playing guitar and tinkering with instruments like keyboard, flute, drums and violin (it's the one instrument I'm pretty bad at) for almost a decade.

I've been on both sides; I've taken lessons for years (guitar, keyboard, vocals, drums, sarangi- its like a bowed violin), taught myself flute, and have helped many students learn and improve on their instruments.

Some of the material here is instructional. Some of it is opinion. Some of it is research. I try to distinguish these things clearly, correct mistakes when I find them, and keep the site useful for someone who has a guitar nearby and wants to get good without burning out.
